Hispania, escuela de español has been nominated for the 2020 StudyTravel Leading Star Award! The StudyTravel Star Awards are the most prestigious awards in the educational tourism industry. Language schools, study abroad agencies, associations and service providers vote for their respective partners to recognise the most outstanding performances in the sector of the past 12 months.

Amongst the 24 categories this year are the educator award ST Star Spanish Language School and the special category ST Leading Star. Only organisations who have entered the StudyTravel Super Star Hall of Fame are eligible for the last category.

“The ST Super Star Hall of Fame honours, in perpetuity, those that have won their respective categories a total of five times, the maximum amount any one organisation can win a singular category in the ST Star Awards,” StudyTravel explain in their StudyTravel Network.

Hispania, escuela de español won the ST Star Award Spanish Language School five years in a row (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019), thus entering the ST Super Star Hall of Fame in 2019, taking both, the ST Star Award Spanish Language School and the ST Super Star Award home to Valencia last year.

Given that as ST Super Star Spanish Language School we are not allowed to compete again in the ST Star Spanish Language School category, we are thrilled, thankful and humbled to be nominated in our first year eligible as ST Leading Star, besides our valued industry colleagues.

The award ceremony revealing the winners, i.e. the nominees that received the most votes in each category, has been postponed to 2021 due to Covid-19, so the suspense will be a bit longer for all finalists.

At Hispania, escuela de español we are deeply thankful for the continuous support of our students and agents, and the wonderful partnerships and friendships that have formed over the 18 years that our school has been in business now. Thanks to this amazing nomination, but also during the challenging time of Covid-19 we are each day reminded what a blessing our work is. Our sector brings people from all around the world closer together, and even during the lockdown, communication, cultural exchange and personal connections were possible thanks to online platforms.

The lessons at our online school Comunidad Hispania were an important part of the day of many international students who remained in Valencia (and those who joined them from other parts of the world) and who were able to interact with their teachers and classmates and forget about the current worries for a moment.

Our objective has always been the wellbeing of our extended Hispania family, making sure that our students, staff and partners know that they are appreciated and fundamental to the school, and, hopefully, make them also feel a little happier.
